EFFECTIVENESS OF MOTOR VEHICLE TAX COLLECTION SERVICES THROUGH THE MOBILE SAMSAT PROGRAM AT THE MAKASSAR 1 REGIONAL SAMSAT OFFICE

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of motor vehicle tax collection services through the mobile samsat program at the Makassar 1 Regional Samsat Office. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. In this study, the author used primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. From the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the Mobile Samsat program in Makassar Region 1, concluded that the Mobile Samsat Service from 2020 to 2024 was categorized as effective because it experienced an increase in the number of motorized vehicles served. The Mobile Samsat Program has proven effective in making it easier for people to pay motor vehicle taxes, especially for those who have difficulty accessing the main Samsat office. Public participation continues to increase, indicating better awareness. Although the service is good and efficient, there is still a need for improvement in the dissemination of information so that the public can more easily find out the schedule and location of services and the limitations of officers.
